Client – Sydney Water

Location – Greater Sydney Metropolitan, Illawarra, and the Blue Mountains regions

Period – 2004 / ongoing

Overview – Sydney Water are Australia's largest water utility. Their area of operations covers 12,700 km2. Harnleigh provide facilities management to over 30 wastewater and drinking water treatment plants. We also provide specialised crane and vacuum excavation services.

Scope – Sydney Water requires “plant facility services” to maintain the cleanliness and aesthetics of its wastewater treatment plants, water recycling plants and water filtration plants. These services require the supply of labour and equipment to perform activities which generally involve:

  • Carrying out routine cleaning duties around plant and equipment

  • Removing accumulated waste which can interfere with operational and maintenance activities

  • Moving and/or disposal of equipment or materials

  • Providing urgent clean-up response for breakdowns, spills and storm events

  • Weed control around operating equipment

  • Specialised crane and vacuum excavation services

Outcomes

  • Continual delivery of facilities management services since 2004 in an industrial plant environment

  • Client focused, collaborative and work as a partnership with client representatives

  • Highly experience workforce with sound industrial relations history

  • Excellent WHS records, including awards for excellence in safety (2014, 2016)

  • Lead solutions to reduce costs through resource allocation, plant and equipment investment by refining maintenance planning with the client
